The .io is a zip.

That said, I just checked and the limit for .io files is 10MB not 2.1MB

Wouldn't it be better to save/export the file as an .ldr file from within Stud.io?
And in the process get rid of all the studio code making the io-file bigger than it need to be.

It may not be easy as there are many possible sources of incompatibilities (part file names, origin/orientation, different availability of parts in Studio and LDraw libraries). Tracking down these problem can prove tricky!
Alternatively you can place the file on a file hosting website (eg. Bricksafe https://bricksafe.com/) and just put the link here.

Permissions are the bane of my existence.  IDK why the UI would list something as "enabled" when it's use is disallowed in all cases.
