Help unscaling a whole LDRAW technic model

Help unscaling a whole LDRAW technic model
#1
Hi,

I have for a few years been wanting to upscale set 42145 so that it looks right with the lego dune ornithopter blades
But whenever I try by just reading the instruction manual, I either upscale only one or 2 axis and not 3, or I upscale all 3 axis but it looks weird (the wheels were way to far apart)

So, I thought it might be a good idea to have a reference model that is blown up in LDCAD

Therefore I am wondering if this is possible, or would up-scaling a part also shift its position, and then the whole model will look like a salad.

Here is the model

As simple way to upscaledo this: (I hope I got you right)

- open in LDCAD
- select ALL
- right-click > Reorganise > Move to subfile >
- just give it a name
- Main File has now only the sub file
- select the subfile, click into the coordinates
- in the matrix enter the scale that you want (instead ot th "1")
- done

LDCAD will colour it a bit different as this is the way it marks scaled bricks.

This worked, but when I then dragged the subfile into a new ldcad project, any part I drag in is also now up-scaled instead of being at the normal scale.

They take the matrix of the last used working part (or subfile). If you reset the matrix for the first new piece you add, then subsequent ones should also be normal.
