Hinge problems

Hi

I'm trying to use a 2x1 hinge and set the 2x2 hinge top at a 45 degree angle but I can't get the bar to attach properly into the cradle when I have the top at the angle. Please help.

Have you turned on part snapping (shift+p)? It's off by default but it makes a world of difference.
