Hello.
A new version of Buf3D (Android Ldraw Viewer) is available in

The news:
- Support for submodel selection (in MPD files & multiple dat files)
- Play Instructions (steps & parts in step)
- Specular light

Know bugs:
- In some models the instructions differ from original file. We continue to work to resolve.

this is very cool. may I give some feedback?
the new STEP support is awesome. But I feel that it is at 99% and easily can get to 100%
by fixing these 2 things I miss:
1. the buf3d logo floating in the bottom right corner obfuscates the step buttons
2. I would love to see the model auto-spin on screen while i use the step buttons to "build" it

Is there already an option hidden somewhere to change the frightening black background to something else? and, additionally, can the background be a user-chosen image file (png, jpg), please...?
I think the "Options" should be made accessible always by using a standard Android button for them at the bottom.

Try to place the logo in a less " invasive " locations, but is more complicated than it seems because there are many different screen resolutions . At the bottom center?

You have tried to activate the Animation -> Continuous and rotate the model? .

The first version of Buf3D could load a background jpg file, but have many memory problems in low-level handsets and decided to turn it off. Referred to the background color , you can change it in options, but it is not very accessible. It's something we have to change.

Oh.... That we would also like us! . Maintain compatibility with version 2.3 and it work well in android 4.4 ... is difficult.

We note these improvements.
News are available on January, because leaving out these days and it will be impossible to work in Buf3D.

What a fantastic viewer, going to play with it and test it's limitations shortly.

Great app, it's very fun to look at models and play them via the steps.

A few things I have noticed.

1. Upon Exit from hitting the back button, it doesn't exit to the home page but exits to the last running app even though it was launched from the home page.

2. I was able to load a few models then all of a sudden it stopped loading anything. It picks different spots where to stall. The app is still responsive and I can back out and try and load something else but alas nothing actually loads. Exiting the app and force closing through the App Info menu fixes it so it loads again.

3. In the Animation Styles menu Dinamic should read Dynamic with a "y" if that is the word you are wanting.

4. In my opinion when using the device back button it should be only the exit and cancel as an option. Model should be selected through the menu button.

5. When selecting the background color the resulting adjustment screen is too small on my device.



6. When selecting the amount of ram for the application the number is hidden under the text. I have 20mb set.

Where it says "new models availables", it should be "available", without the "s".

And I cannot find the preferences screen. In the menu with "shader", "model", "restart", "animation", "set wallpaper" and "more", if I select "more" the menu simply disappears (and it doesn't come up again).

Yes, the preferences menu sometimes appears, sometimes not, but we don't see where the problem is. Usually open in two or three attempts, but the menu disappears? ops, this is new. We continue to look the error. Thank you.

Hello Steffen, Jason and Ignacio. The new version fixes some problems (not all):

* Support for standard ActionBar (compatible version with the old android 2.1)
* Back Button no longer running last app.
* Wrong words in english
* Back button no longer accesses to model load

In addition:
* Full screen in android 4.4

Pending:
* Some bugs to cancel loading
* Background color (more accessible)
* Background image
* Preference screen incorrect display

is there an option so I can see the list of models in a folder _sorted_?
I kind of get quite annoyed to have to scroll through the whole list and see it un-sorted...
