RE: Official Library File Format Restictions - Willy Tschager - 2020-07-02 Stud orientation and mirrored studs are not addressed. w. RE: Official Library File Format Restictions - Gerald Lasser - 2020-07-02 IMHO concerning the part naming when it comes to dimensions, e.g. if it is 2 plates high, it will be .667, this was change in the past from 2/3 to this, I think it should be added and also how many decimals shall there be in the description (3). Also: anything Bricklike: Studs x Studs x Bricks anything Technic looking: Studs x Studs x Studs Where is the orientation of a part taken care of? I added some verbiage here: https://www.ldraw.org/article/512draft.html#origin I think it's better to write in general terms and let the individual cases be sorted out on the PT but I'm open to rewrite suggestions. RE: Official Library File Format Restictions - Orion Pobursky - 2020-07-03 No it's: "In general, metallic colours used on printed parts should use the drum lacquer or "ink" colours." RE: Official Library File Format Restictions - Magnus Forsberg - 2020-07-04 (2020-07-03, 21:24)Orion Pobursky Wrote: No it's: Please don't use "Drum lacquer" or "Ink". That's lego nomenclatura. We only say "Metallic" in ldconfig. Personally I would accept all colour codes in a print, or sticker, except "Pearl", "Rubber" or "Internal Common Material". Those codes are reserved for parts with material properties. btw, we are IMO missing a whole section in ldconfig about flat colours to be used on textile parts, like canvas, and capes, and parts made of felt. Quote:In general, metallic colours used on stickers, patterned parts, and other printed materials the LDraw Metallic Colours (these colours are referred to by LEGO as drum lacquer or "ink") and not Chrome or Pearl colours. Quote:In general, metallic colours used on stickers, patterned parts, and other printed materials should use the LDraw Metallic Colours (these colours are referred to by LEGO as drum lacquer or "ink") and not Chrome or Pearl colours. The comment about drum lacquer and ink is only true on 3 of the metallic colours, silver, gold and copper. I think we should remove that parentheses. RE: Official Library File Format Restictions - Orion Pobursky - 2020-07-06 I like it. Change made. |
