Nice! The "download unofficial parts" function works again (due to the https)

It looks like you have to specify both…I tried pointing to the ZIP and deleting the path to the folder, and that led to "Error loading model…" messages. Adding back the directory path fixed it (so I can't be sure whether it's reading from the ZIP or the folder).

That's not supposed to happen. Which specific LDView package are you using? (For example, LDView64-4600.exe.) Also, just to confirm, you pointed it to an up-to-date complete.zip?

Thanks. I was able to reproduce this. I have no idea how it didn't show up in my earlier testing, but I will be releasing a 4.6.1 patch release fairly soon to correct the problem. For now, you need to specify a directory with parts and p subdirectories in it, but those directories shouldn't need to contain any files.

I had forgotten how I originally intended it to behave. It turns out that the current behavior is (sort of) intentional. It's even documented in LDView's Help.html. So, technically, the bug is that it shouldn't allow you to clear the LDraw directory, since the documentation states that you have to select that so that LDView knows where to put Unofficial downloads. Having said that, I don't feel that the old documented behavior was reasonable, so I will still be releasing a patch release that correctly behaves when no LDraw directory is selected. It will then put the Unofficial directory next to the LDraw zip file.
