Post here Number/Description (preferably also with a link) of the parts you are currently working on.
this thread is a Very Good Idea
I think, that this part isn't in our library (or I'm not able to find it).

This is the magnetbrick for the minifigs.
The underside is ready. At the moment I'm working on the main part.
Do you have any ideas how to model the "torx-screw" ?
Estimated time for upload to the PT: late end of 2012.

Yes, AFAIK it's missing.

Other screw are modelled as simple cylinder without thread. I think we should go on this way, adding threads is pure waste of resources (work-wise and facet-wise).
Working on it, based on Rolf's mesh.
I am working on a replacement for this MC.
It's
already on the PT, but needs a rewrite.
See this thread too.
The main structure is finished and I'm now working on the hidden connector between body and fork.
I hope to be finished within a month.
Edit: This part is now done and uploaded
at PT as 4480c01.dat
Done.
As always - great work! :-)
I am working on this part (sometimes).
Rolf
Great! I have waited so long and did not get it right myself. Thanks!
Edit:
I just digged what I have so far. Maybe also 42941 can be done
I will do the new thin 1 x 5 liftarm with axleholes until tomorrow. (At the moment I don't have the part number for it).
/Max
The part is now uploaded. Actually I have used an u-number for it.

Part is ready:

[sub]edit: partnumber correction in link and picture[/sub]
I will try to find out a bit more about 11610. Especially of the how the stud is mould onto the cone.
/Max
I can not find a part with that number! Where is this number from?
At the moment it's not possible do do this part, cause there are no informations about it in the internet. 2 or 3 pictures but I can't see any dimensions on them.
Sorry...(but I still try to find such a part in the real world)
/Max
I got such a brick today. And I hope, that I find the time to rework it asap.
It is very hard to open. I have no idea how to disassemble it for the moment.
It's opened now. But is very hard damaged at some areas now. This will be the first part I have to throw away without building it into at least one model...
/Max
I'll check before I upload. That's peanuts compared to the millions of cond. lines this part comes.

Not sure to understand - do you intend to submit it, or do you want someone to work on it?
Well this is the "Parts we are working on" thread. So, yes, I'm cleaning it.

Sorry, misread the thread title!
While doing the BFC'ing for 2348a.dat, I checked the parts 2348b.dat and 2349.dat. In my opinion they need to be a bit improved. I'm now working on 2349.dat. (2348a and b are ready and will go out with all other involved parts). I think, I will add the bumps for the hinges. That means that I need to do the other hinges as well...Whohoo

I've forgotten how satisfying it feels to get something like those saw blades modeled..
EDIT:
done
Is this any better?
I have here attached an attempt to improve the pattern for
2454ps5.
Do you think it is better or worse than the
current part at PT?
I hope that is not a real question
This one is IMHO much better.
The pattern distorts when viewed further away.. maybe direct colors would do better here?
Much better, I agree! Must have been pretty tedious
How did you mapped the gradient on the character?
I've created the new pattern with LPC, of course.
I first made one mask of the unpatterned surface surrounding the pattern.
On top of that, or maybe behind it, I placed many differently stretched versions of a triangular raster pattern.
By selecting overlapping triangles and using the "SCG Intersection points" I got a set of new vertices.
I then connected these new vertices with "Merge with nearest triangle" and removed the unwanted triangles.
Many triangles it is....
Nice now, the pattern is. Excellent piece of work, done, you have.

Thanks for showing me a part I ignored
Hehe, I just got a link to this great site a few minutes ago.
And I thought about doing this part, too. :-)
Well done!

It's a new version of the 2 x 2 tile, round.
I will add the groove to 4150 to.
Been working on cleaning up
61805 today.
I am curently working on
55706s01.dat.
In the meantime trying to figure out all the programs which to enhanse parts.
Its going to look better, one baby step at a time.
I'm working on the Speedorz chassis parts
11125c01.
Looks like nobody has worked on any parts for a while ;-)
I've started on the PF Track points: 53404 (right), 53407 (left) and 60128 (crossover).
