I suspect you may have downloaded the subpart 11291s01.dat rather than the real part.

You need to:
a) download 11291.dat into the parts directory
b) download 11291s01.dat into the parts/s directory

Hope that helps.

i am desapointed... No working on my mac with bricksmith 2.6.1

Step 1) i downloaded 11291.dat into "parts" folder
Step 2) I downlaoded 11291s01 into "S" folder (subdirectory from parts)
Step 3) I deleted bricksmith parts.plist into /Users/jeromeschlitter/Desktop/LEGO/Application/Bricksmith/LDraw
Step 4) into bricksmith=> settings=> Parts=> I click on reload parts

Finally it creat 2 parts, first look like plate 1x2 and next looking right side of the complete part...

:'( pleeeaaaaassse get me some help

You edited your message. When I replied it said you downloaded 11291s01.dat into the "P" folder. Are you certain it is in ldraw/parts/s and is named 11291s01.dat?

I notice in your screenshots that you have both files in both directories. Having 11291s01.dat in the parts directory is presumably why you see the "just right side" subpart in Bricksmith's parts list. Since you do have it in parts/s also, I don't know why the 11291 isn't showing the whole part.

There is one other thing you might try. First, delete all 11291*.dat files from your ldraw/parts folder. Next, open a file that uses 11291.dat in LDView. LDView will automatically download the needed files into ldraw/Unofficial, and put them in the correct locations. I believe that Bricksmith will then see them.

If you don't know how to create a file using 11291, put the following line in a text file, and save it with a .ldr file extension:

1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 11291.dat

many thanks travis,

so to reply, screenshot come from osx search engine. Appear all files include 11291 text into. I confirm that i have own of each files in correct folder, and i don't have many sort of 11291 files in same directory.

I didn't found *.ldr files including 11291 parts so i open text editor, copy past "1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 11291.dat" into, save it and changed extention name in ldr.

next step i deleted bricksmith parts.plist, and open new ldr files.

So nothing happens.... Angry

OK perhaps I guess that .dat files need to be place in directory and after opening new dat files with 1 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 11291.dat into.
So i ll try that, and same bad way, nothing happens...

I am desperate :'(

see you

You have to open the created ldr file in LDView first so that LDView will download the part and subpart into the Unofficial directory. It doesn't sound like you did that, based on your description. I'm frankly having a difficult time understanding what you are saying, but it doesn't seem like you opened the file in LDView.
