Thread for the 2001 Dinosaurs theme.

Dinosaurs was a small theme made of 12 sets (actually just 8), none of which had a large piece count. It used a new system to build larger animals, which was reused in Orient Expedition, Alpha Team and Star Wars to make elephants or dewbacks for example.

The 4 larger sets came in box-shaped canisters similar to early Bionicle sets. The lids could be used as display bases, while the back of the instruction posters could be used as connectable playmats. Each set could be build into 4 different dinosaurs.

The 4 smaller sets came in both boxed and polybag variants, each with a different set number.
