Mainly this primitive would be used in parts where the top of the stud goes into the part so the edge lines that would be drawn in the primitive would not show up.
Is there any demand for a stud4s with no edge lines?

I just posted the same thought into the concerned (sub) part :-)
I do not see the big issue now with the hidden edge line, but we could add one nevertheless
