why is 61409 marked "obsolete" ??

LEGO Company is still producing part 61409.
https://bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalog...=61409#T=C

So why is this DAT file titled as being obsolete?

Thanks,
Franklin

Yes,

Obsoleted due to bad geometry
When stacked, one upside down, they should be taller that one brick width.

Thanks, all!  ;-)

Maybe I should add an alert on obsolete part pages?

i think partly because this part is named "~Slope Brick 18  2 x  1 x  0.667 Grille (Obsolete)"
should obsolete parts also include which part replaces it (like moved-to)?
sometimes there are also 2 or more successor parts (big rework with more details and variants came later)

I like that idea.

I did this big push to have all obsolete parts have the Obsolete category. Now that that is done and enforced by the tracker, we can figure out how to alert the user as to what parts to use.
