Don't worry. We always do an unprinted version, even if LEGO never released the part unprinted. While it's irrelevant to you as a model builder, we do, however, prep the file differently if we know there's a printed version of the part to make it easier for us to author the print.

I'd say they are symmetric.

The part itself is slightly unsymmetric in the source mesh, but I made it symmetric... I do not have the part, but it is barely visible imho
