Logo on patterned parts

I have started working on replacing 3004s60 by new logo prims in all parts and started with 3004pt2 (https://library.ldraw.org/official/3593)
This patterned part was only produced in Yellow therefore the Yellow within the logo should not be part of the print and usually for this use case we would use color 16: https://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/PN/3/3004px26.png
However I found other examples of parts with such beahviour e.g. 3010pt7 (https://library.ldraw.org/official/3951)
I was wondering if there is any exception for logos so that if someone decide to use this part e.g. in Blue the logo will remain with appropriate colors.
I have looked for an answer in the specifications but I could not find any answer to my concern. Sorry if I missed it.

I think it is better to keep the existing parts coloured as they are made. Removing a yellow centre might break a model using it.
However, further subfiling into monochrome, non-coloured sub primitives might be useful depending on how they are used.

Indeed I thought about this solution but if it's preferable to keep the yellow centre I will keep it as it is.

The Shell logo is red and yellow; I can't think of any reason for the LDraw version not to be also red and yellow.

There are at least 2 set with stickers with a monochrome logo.

In those cases the logo appears to be an outline version with negative space in the center. I would use color 16 for those logos, since I would expect the center portion to appear blue if placed on a blue sticker.

In the OP example I think it's hard coded yellow—i.e., if the pattern appeared on a blue brick, its center would still be yellow. (And for what it's worth, I've only ever seen that patterned 1x2 brick in white, never in yellow.)
