The advantage of having both the same is that I should be able to copy my parts.xml file over LDFind's xml file and use that instead. I might have, for example, removed all printed parts from parts.lst/parts.xml to avoid clutter and want to search through only parts.xml.
That's why I'm trying to match your file format.
