The only place I have (manually) added the WeDo 2.0 electronic parts is my Unofficial folder. Those parts turn up just fine in LPub3D instructions. Since I added the string.ldr file in the same way I expected it to turn up fine as well.
I have not been able to find any other path settings that I could edit.
