Do you use your installed library or you downloaded a fresh one via JBrickBuilder itself?
Anyway, to find a specific part by size, try to put in search text sizes (without "x"):
brick 1 1 (3005) (should be first result)
brick 2 4 (3001) (second result)
brick 2 2 (3003) (second result)
To find by design id try to append a "." or a "*":
3005.
3003*
