Indeed, but the user is totally free to create a loose col 16 spring and reference it from another submodel. But I like to supply the user with complete shock absorber assemblies using templates. Due to a technical limitation my generating code (heavily shared with the flexible (pneumatic etc) generator) can only handle a single submodel containing the fallback code (LDCad it self doesn't use the type 1...5 lines of the spring model).
This has been bothering me somewhat since I created the flexsystem cable templates in LDCad 1.2 (which is a two color bendable part). So I have been thinking on a way to generate multiple fallback submodels while ignoring those in LDCad it self using a 'skip next file' meta or something. Other software will not skip that and thus show the part as intended using multiple submodels.
Anyway it keeps me busy
