transparent parts

If the part comes in transparent it may have a different design ID from the solid color version. Assuming no other changes, this number should alias the solid color version. 

Parts that have transparent version should attempt to be modeled without any internal overlap. This is a general suggestion and if it can't be avoid without significant effort or extra geometry then I think it can be overlooked.
