"Back of the box" is a term for any alternative model shown on the box which is not included in the instructions. Typically they were on the "back of the box" but not always.

"Back of the box" model 1 has the same locomotive as instruction model 1 but different wagons


"Back of the box" model 2 which is shown on the front and inside the box lid next to different locomotives and is not included in the instructions.

I checked all of it before, but still confused on the 3rd model before posting my coment. So, you are right; my apologize.
