Since img4dat tends to require per-vertex revision anyway, at least with highly geometric patterns, I decided to skip it and go straight into LDPE for digitizing the hieroglyphs.
I've built some constructors using type 2 lines and curved prims where possible; the rest will be hand-triangulated (the birds and horned viper).
