LDCad 1.7 Alpha 1 (win+linux)

Just to close my own loop, above solution worked much better. 

I have the portable version of LDCad on my local drive along with a zip copy of the complete.zip and ldrawunf.zip I then added a look up at my much smaller library of personal custom parts. 

The load times are virtually instant now.
