Isn’t this a google drive thing?
Judging by the paths I conclude your LDraw installation is on Google Drive sync and virtual drive letter? Does LDCad has write permission on drive G: ?

Thanks Jaco, I didn't think of this as I don't use google drive. But I do have a G: drive (my steam disk) so it didn't look weird to me

Do these problems only concern the program files? Or even when using it for LDraw content only?
