This is probably because it samples shift+'+' instead of just '+'.

You can fix it by changing the key assignment for zoom to shift+'+'.

I'll have to look into how to detect this, but it is low on my todo list.

Thanks Roland, shift + '+' worked. That combination is obvious now that I think about it.
