Trust me, there are a raft of parts with bad origins but backwards compatibility is important. This is why new parts need to be scrutinized to ensure the origin is in the right place functionally. It seems that every time I make a new OMR model I'm cursing the origin choice of at least one part so you are not alone in the club.
