Due to this limitation, buffer exchange cannot work through multiple steps. If you want to do that with the current implementation, you'd have to repeat the same STORE/RETRIEVE over multiple steps.

As you say, it does work but you must "re-add" all parts between store and retrieve after the retrieve (tedious I agree). What really annoys me is "submodel wih moving parts" (eg. submodel where you must push pins after attaching to the main model), I have no other solution than to make two different submodels
