Hello Walt. I'll take a look. However, note that LPub3D does not do any rendering, it is responsible only to send L3P the appropriate flags and part list to be rendered. L3P produces the .pov file which LPub3D then forwards to POV-Ray and waits for the POV-ray process result before attempting to consume the rendered image - get the size details, convert to pixmap and place in the document.
If you are experiencing excessive delay, the source is likely POV-Ray. However, it is a good idea to confirm the .pov file is well formed. The command line used to generate the pov image is captured in the .pov file and in the POV-Ray console during execution. You can use it to confirm the source of your delay.
