There is no official confirmation about whether LDD is going to stop or not. Quite recently, a rumor appeared that a Lego customer service person said they were going to stop LDD, but later on a message from Lego came stating that it wasn't true. I can't remember it exactly, but it went something like that.
Quite recently (a few months ago) there was even a big parts update for LDD. That being said, it sure looks like Lego's LDD support is going downhill (or maybe the LDD team is getting smaller). Nobody knows if they'll continue like this, stop it somewhere in the future or even come with a complete new replacement product. For now it's just uncertain.
Whatever the outcome is, I just keep using LDraw and mainly LDCad
Thinking about LDCad 2.0 and open sourcing it
