Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Geske - 2024-07-03 Hi there, is there an advanced part designer who can provide for use in Studio the Vintage tail bb96 I'm missing it badly for a MOC, but I haven't the talent to design parts. In most cases this part originates in set 698-1. I varied a badly yellowed one of them by painting it in yellow and attached a „condor“ decal on it. RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Rene Rechthaler - 2024-07-03 the tail itself looks a lot like 4867.dat https://library.ldraw.org/official/9749 but what about the base? does anyone own that part for good pictures /measurements? does a 1x1 roundbrick fit to the round air inlet at the front? Hello: I found the following video https://youtu.be/C0Yhepz7n64?feature=shared. Hope it helps on the model design. Actually the front hole is bigger than a standard stud. So nothing can be fixed here. Also the length and width is unusual. I will add photos later today. Yes, some pictures got lost somehow. Here they are: RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Takeshi Takahashi - 2024-07-05 The part number will be u405. http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/x405 I'm also looking forward to seeing this part on LDraw and creating JAL jetliner (set 698). RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Rene Rechthaler - 2024-07-05 Do you have more pictures of the "step" at the bottom? Is the main top cylinder just slanted or conical too? are all of your parts printed or are there stickered ones too? RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Chris Böhnke - 2024-07-05 I couldn't even find the printed ones on Bricklink/Rebrickable/Brickowl. Almost all there seem to be stickered (as usual with real world company logos). I am curious about the printed ones Also some images seem to suggest the end of the cone often got a plain black sticker to suggest the engine outport? Is someone already working on this? Out of curiosity I made a quick attempt (before having the real measurements), but stopped working on it, as I realized the primitives usage would be a bit more complicated than I first thought RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Jeff Jones - 2024-07-06 (2024-07-05, 23:17)Chris Böhnke Wrote: I couldn't even find the printed ones on Bricklink/Rebrickable/Brickowl. looks good enough can i have it so i can rework it to be more accruate? Of cause RE: Request for vintage tail bb96 (bb0096) - Geske - 2024-07-10 (2024-07-05, 18:35)Rene Rechthaler Wrote: Do you have more pictures of the "step" at the bottom? The top cylinder, which I identify as the jet engine‘s entry is cylindrical on the in- and outside for 8,32 mm with a radius all around the edge. The step on the bottom refers perfectly to the parts it ought to be built upon. So you‘d ideally just subtract these parts from the bottom for a perfect fit. The JAL and Lufthansa tails are originally stickered, but the British Sterling one is printed. The KLM and the Condor are home-made with wet decals. Also my specimen of Lufthansa has been repaired with wet decals. I bought it blank. This looks already pretty nice. Looking forward to the final result. |
