43218 - Johann Eisner - 2019-01-12 I have started to make this part. https://brickset.com/parts/6252368/rudder-2x6x4-no-2 (43218) The base part is already in the libary as 6239.dat Whats the different between this two parts 6239 and 43218 (Except the printing). Need we a new part (43218.dat) an alias to 6239.dat ? But as far as I can tell here the shape part remained the same. Your patterned part should thus be named 6239p01, and if you want you can make a 43218 part alias, alias of 6239p01 RE: 43218 - Magnus Forsberg - 2019-01-12 (2019-01-12, 11:16)Johann Eisner Wrote: Whats the different between this two parts 6239 and 43218 (Except the printing). I think 42318 is the designID of the print. You should use a 6239pXX.dat number. RE: 43218 - Johann Eisner - 2019-01-12 Thanks Philippe and Magnus. RE: 43218 - Johann Eisner - 2019-01-13 One more question, for sure. I've done a little research now. So far, there are two parts that are printed and I suspect it will be even more. Would it make sense to move the part 6239.dat (without side surfaces) into a subpart --> 6239s01.dat . (see Attachment) That way we could make printed parts better in the future.
