Re: Architecture Theme - Damien Roux - 2016-03-06 There is a typo error: !HISOTORY instead of !HISTORY in the file of the OMR. Re: Architecture Theme - Merlijn Wissink - 2016-03-06 No, there isn't! Just joking, I've fixed it. Thanks for point it out. The set bin and flexible part functionally make this build enjoyable. Also, don't import this model directly into Studio. I had to separate the flex object files into their own custom parts for it to load correctly. I left these out with a place holder note since they are non-visible in the finished model and would add a significant amount to the file size. I haven't built the real model yet so I can't say if that's just the way they look You are right, they do look strange also when the model is build "legally" (left). I did not like it this way, so I move the clips a bit which makes it look much more like the real thing (right) If TLG would have used a flexible hose, you could bend it to fit. I am missing the Al Muntaha restaurant, a horizontal bar looking towards the sea and I would have preferred the Emirates towers also a bit darker, LGB. But overall, I like the model, nice building techniques, especially on the Burj Al Arab. RE: 20151 - Tokyo - Orion Pobursky - 2020-02-03 Updated with OMR compliance and render RE: 21003 Seattle Space Needle - N. W. Perry - 2020-02-13 21003 - Seattle Space Needle This is an alternate version using LDCad flexible elements, optimized for rendering in Studio. The flexible elements are as close to the correct length as I could get (133mm according to instructions, 133.11mm here). Because this model already appears in the OMR, no attempt at OMR compliance was made. 21003 Seattle Space Needle.ldr (Size: 82.55 KB / Downloads: 7) RE: 21003 Seattle Space Needle - Orion Pobursky - 2020-03-01 Awesome, I updated the file on the OMR with your hoses and added a HISTORY line. (I have opted for the corresponding "flat silver" rubber color on the axles.) EDIT: On further investigation, that may not be the right choice. The real part has a distinct sheen that's not well represented by the rubber color, at least in this renderer. I will update the file to revert to color 179. OMR compliant: Yes, with all unofficial donor parts inlined. (The image shows the alternate French nameplate; in the model, the English version is used.) Perry - 2020-04-21 By the way, what's the general feeling about submitting our own versions of models that already appear in the OMR? Is there any interest in having multiple versions, or is it intended to only hold a single copy of each official model? I've been going through and building the entire Architecture theme myself, just because I like to. I don't mind sharing what I've built, but I'm also just as happy not to bother OMRizing them if there's no need. RE: Architecture Theme - N. W. Perry - 2020-05-18 21038 – Las Vegas (Original, unreleased version featuring Mandalay Bay hotel) This was made using Tom Alphin's instructions, based on a real copy of the official set, with some corrections. 21038 - Las Vegas.mpd (Size: 554.32 KB / Downloads: 14) OMR compliant: Yes Missing: None Errors: None* Done with LDCad 1.6d *Note: You must use the inlined subparts for the Egyptian headdress in LDCad. Otherwise, it will display the older official pattern subpart with hard-colored Dark Blue stripes instead of the correct Medium Blue. RE: 21041 - Great Wall of China - N. W.
