Whoa! I was not aware of Brickhub, on line instructions look great! Thanks for the heads up Smile
Perhaps you should re-render with a sightly lower light level, pug's back is washed out...

Thanks. It is a whole new project I started after moving and not having physical bricks with me for a while.
It it still under development, so please tell me if you find any errors or wishes for functionality. As an example, I did not know you were allowed to not have '.ldr' or '.dat' as ldr sub-file names, which resulted in errors when I imported directly from Stud.io to Brickhub. Now I have to fix that once I get back to my own machine next Tuesday.

Stud.io is also completely new for me. The renderer seems to make pictures that are either too bright or too dark. I must see what others have done to solve that issue. BTW. It is because of your review that I considered getting into stud.io in the first place.

For now I will try to build as many official models as time permits before Tuesday - the more instructions there are on Brickhub, the better the base is for generating automatic instructions.

Edit: B-models is done:

BrickHub... very interesting for this kind of cute little models. I Like it!
I see some larger models too. Very nice indeed.

Great render of really pretty set. And with both alternatives - great job, Philippe!

One detail bothers me: the curved rail part in the main model looks flying above the rail.
Otherwise, it's simply awesome. you made me feeling I definitely need one Xmas present more Wink

Thanks for spotting that one Milan! The MPD file is correct, the problem lies in Studio LDraw import Sad
Though Studio library is LDraw based, there are discrepancies: some parts that didn't exist in LDraw have been outsourced and added to library. This of course makes sense. The only problem is that some of them have origin/orientation which don't use LDraw conventions, or even use plain stupid ones, so when these parts are later added to LDraw library they are not compatible. See for example the new gearbox parts, as I reported here (but this message got no echo Angry )

As I love Studio renderer, I looked for a way to get around this problem. I use a brute force method, which is to dump all unofficial parts in Studio custom parts folder, so that Studio can display them even if they are missing from it's base library, and ALSO to Studio unofficial folder, to overwrite the parts that are different from LDraw ones. Of course this breaks compatibility with Studio files, but I don't care...

The case of the curved fence is worse, because an outsourced file with stupid origin makes its way to Studio official parts folder!!! And I didn't noticed the wrong image...

I'll update the renders! Now re-rendered and updated.

Wow!!
That view from the inside is "incroyable".
Ah, I didn't know about this crazy incompatibility. I'm "Happy Linux user": no Studio for my platform, no problems Smile

Thanks for the update, it looks really awesome. I can understand why you like renders from Studio...
Work in progress for 10266

Question about this one: there is a part in Titanium Metallic (Tub, #64951).
I cannot find in LDraw. What color would that be?

I am planning and trying to buy this set, so I can do the Stickers and patterns too.
A good exercise for me in getting to know LDPC ;-)

Titanium metallic is mapped to LDraw 87:
Code:
0                              // LEGOID 337 - Titanium
0 !COLOUR Metallic_Dark_Grey                                    CODE  87   VALUE #6D6E5C   EDGE #333333
...in latest, still unofficial LDconfig.ldr (https://forums.ldraw.org/thread-23434-po...l#pid32282)

Yes Wink

Tnx Philo! I had the new LDConfig, but must have overlooked this color.

I found a reasonable photo of the stickersheet on Brickset, but it is somewhat curved. I'll see what I can make of it.

Next question: I think these parts are in the library but under another number

Ah yes, found them! Should we create new aliases with the new partnumber?

If there is no significant difference, yes (Bricklink makes them completely equivalent)
(2019-06-05, 14:50)Jaco van der Molen Wrote: [ -> ]Now for the stickers...

Yes,
In this set you have to use the Chrome Gold on some of the stickers, since they're printed
on a shiny, highly reflective foil, not paper.

I see. That would mean hard code color Chrome_Gold LDraw code 334, right?

OK, but I'll need a good flat image of the stickers. I am planning to buy the set, but am in doubt where and when.
Does someone have it and still stickers on the sheet? Please scan or photograph as flat as possible. And the minifig torso's too.

Other question: should I model the stickers with round corners or straight 90-degree angle?
