where are these raw files located, what type of search should be done? I'm curious
some other raw files can be found here:
http://www.digital-bricks.de/index.php?site=nil
(from about 2000-2015, unpatterned and uncleaned files, some are already done)

Digital-bricks is maintained by Rolf and gets its data from the old LDD and the Lego Unity Microgame files.

In my opinion Blender is the way to go for adding patterns. What pattern are you going to make?

I'm happy to help with Blender if you have the 2d version of the pattern. And reference image

you need png or an vector illustrator file?
(2024-01-11, 11:53)Dario Wrote: [ -> ]very unfriendly software... theres somewhere a video tutorial to understand how add pattern?

Well, it SW to build bricks and pieces.

The link in the wiki to JC Tchang's LDPE documentation is good and Google does a good job transalting it from French

To create patterns, it is better to use LD Pattern Creator first, where you have a 2D Canvas which can be projected onto a 3D surface. There is also an explanation of LDPC at JC Tchang here: https://jc-tchang.philohome.com/manuel/LPC_a.htm also in French, but Google Transalte again is doing pretty well.

To use a 3D Template, these surfaces need to be extracted from the model first, see attachment 35757s99.dat in the attachment.
This needs to be imported into LDPC:
File > Import from DAT > Project on YZ Plane (+X Left)
Choose "Overwrite and Import Projection Data"
You then see the outline of the partial head of the mouse

You can draw now the Eye

To export follow JC Tchangs documentation

TO join the surface and the mouse it is best to use LDPE again

Did a quick test in Blender and should absolutely be doable but mesh needs some cleaning and splitting and renaming first I guess.
