In the next few weeks, LDraw.org may experience some extended downtime while I update the server infrastructure. It should last, at most, a few hours. Since I'm not sure exactly when I'll be ready to start, I'm posting this now to make everyone aware.

Additionally, some changes to the way the Library and Forums will interact are happening. The Library will be transitioned to it's own login system and be complete separated from the forums. This will require all existing Parts Authors or Reviewers to request a password reset from the Library. Before this happens, I will update the Library will the email addresses with the ones on file here on the forums. If you're a Parts Author or Reviewer, make sure your email is up to date.

Lastly, we will moving the forum software from myBB to Discourse. This is a more modern, more capable forum platform. This is the same software that Rebrickable uses for it's forums and is more actively developed than myBB.

Again, I still have testing to do on the changes to the Library and the timeline on when the above will happen isn't firm yet. Best guess is since the 2026-06 release is in 2.5 weeks, I will likely delay until after that happens.

Hello,

This is my first ever post and if I am correct this is the right location for this request.
I'd like to make a red panda enclosure for my kids to play with.
However the part 106597pb01 doesn't show up in Studio.
I tried importing an lego set which should have it, but I get no suggestions for replacement.
I attached two screenshots.

Hopefully someone can make a model for it.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Many many thanks in advance!

LDraw.org 2026-05 Parts Update Now Available

The 2026-05 LDraw Parts Update has been released. This update adds 305 new files to the core library, including 200 new parts and 27 new primitives. As of this update, the LDraw.org Parts Library contains 16830 unique shapes or patterned parts.

Thanks are due to all the part authors who created or corrected parts for this release. The small, but dedicated, band of reviewers also play an important role in keeping files moving through the Parts Tracker and deserve just as much credit. This update wouldn't have been possible without their dedication and attention to detail.

You can preview the new parts in 2026-05 here, and download the zip-file update or Windows install package here.

Thank you to all the testers and parts authors who continue giving feedback on the PT software. This project would not be what it is without your help.

Note: This update has a couple of sticker and sticker shortcuts with very small gaps (<0.1 ldu, noticeable under very high zoom) due to adjustment of their underlying dependencies. This does not affect the usability of these parts in anyway and will be corrected in the next release.

I hope this helps:

Parts authors pick the correct colours for prints/stickers/dual-moulded parts

Model builders avoiding discontinued (hard to find) colours more easily

Some notes:

This is mostly speculative, not official. However most of it should be correct

"Pearlescent Metallic" refers to un-painted plastic with additives giving them a pearly-metallic look (do not use for prints!)

"Metallic Ink/Lacq" refers to a shiny paint coating on parts (but still more matte than chrome/vacuum-metallizing) or the ink used on prints/stickers. Both are considered the same by both Lego and LDraw

Some chrome elements (like the LotR One Ring) might still be active, but are usually no longer listed as active. Chrome is easily identified anyways, so I excluded those for now

"Glitter" is very transparent with big glittery flakes molded into the plastic; "Opalescent" is similar to Glitter, but the flakes are much smaller and have a much higher density, causing the base part to be more of a milky translucent rather than fully transparent. Rendering of these two effects varies heavily depending on program

I'm not that sure on status for the glitter/opal colours, but they seem to have been active within the last 3 years and felt it better to be inclusive here

Medium Blue (73) currently seems a bit "endangered" - only used in the Bluey theme in recent years

If you notice any errors/omissions let me know.

This is a modernized version of the LL918 Space Transport set, using only parts currently (as of Spring, 2026) available from LEGO Pick-a-Brick online. The main design principle was to retain (or even improve) the durability and playability of the original, using similar, simple building techniques. An additional design principle was to use general-purpose parts, allowing for many alternative builds and re-use in Space-themed builds, following the structure and the building sequence of the original as closely as practical.

The main differences with the original are the following:

In the absence of transparent yellow windshields and plates, a single transparent canopy is used.

The canopy is hinged laterally, opening backwards rather than sideways.

Due to different wing pieces, the entire model is two studs shorter than the original.

Instead of red, a golden minifigure is used.

Some gray parts (landing gear, main- and lifting thruster, cockpit bottom) are dark gray.

Some originally blue parts, most importantly the main thruster's bracket, are light gray.

Instead of a signle gray vertical tail fin, two blue fins made of slopes and bricks are used, due to part availability but also to improve on the most fragile part of the original.
