I hope this helps:

Parts authors pick the correct colours for prints/stickers/dual-moulded parts

Model builders avoiding discontinued (hard to find) colours more easily

Some notes:

This is mostly speculative, not official. However most of it should be correct

"Pearlescent Metallic" refers to un-painted plastic with additives giving them a pearly-metallic look (do not use for prints!)

"Metallic Ink/Lacq" refers to a shiny paint coating on parts (but still more matte than chrome/vacuum-metallizing) or the ink used on prints/stickers. Both are considered the same by both Lego and LDraw

Some chrome elements (like the LotR One Ring) might still be active, but are usually no longer listed as active. Chrome is easily identified anyways, so I excluded those for now

"Glitter" is very transparent with big glittery flakes molded into the plastic; "Opalescent" is similar to Glitter, but the flakes are much smaller and have a much higher density, causing the base part to be more of a milky translucent rather than fully transparent. Rendering of these two effects varies heavily depending on program

I'm not that sure on status for the glitter/opal colours, but they seem to have been active within the last 3 years and felt it better to be inclusive here

Medium Blue (73) currently seems a bit "endangered" - only used in the Bluey theme in recent years

If you notice any errors/omissions let me know.

This is a modernized version of the LL918 Space Transport set, using only parts currently (as of Spring, 2026) available from LEGO Pick-a-Brick online. The main design principle was to retain (or even improve) the durability and playability of the original, using similar, simple building techniques. An additional design principle was to use general-purpose parts, allowing for many alternative builds and re-use in Space-themed builds, following the structure and the building sequence of the original as closely as practical.

The main differences with the original are the following:

In the absence of transparent yellow windshields and plates, a single transparent canopy is used.

The canopy is hinged laterally, opening backwards rather than sideways.

Due to different wing pieces, the entire model is two studs shorter than the original.

Instead of red, a golden minifigure is used.

Some gray parts (landing gear, main- and lifting thruster, cockpit bottom) are dark gray.

Some originally blue parts, most importantly the main thruster's bracket, are light gray.

Instead of a signle gray vertical tail fin, two blue fins made of slopes and bricks are used, due to part availability but also to improve on the most fragile part of the original.

Hey all,
I just wanted to let folks know that I am locking-down the parts included in my upcoming LEGO Parts Guide print edition. I have had good luck getting help filling in the gaps in the past by creating a fresh thread highlighting those parts which are missing. I'm also including links to the raw meshes where possible... I hope this makes it easier to port those parts into the official LDraw format!

There are three categories of missing parts:
1. New for 2026
2. Highest Priority Parts (2021-2025)
3. Common but lower priority (2021-2025)

I am most interested in the first two groups, because those parts represent real gaps in a guide to the most common parts - if the part isn't in the guide, people might not consider using the part when building MOCs.

Array bricks along hose path in LDCad — built-in feature or Lua script?

Hi everyone,
I have a flexible hose already placed in my model, complete with bends and curves. I've also built a small ring-shaped assembly (grouped as a sub-model) that is sized to fit snugly around the hose — for simplicity, let's say I could reduce it to a single Technic Brick 2×1 with Hole (3700).

What I'd like to achieve is essentially an array along a curve: repeat that brick or sub-model N times at regular intervals along the hose, so that each instance follows the hose's orientation at its respective position — i.e., it inherits the local rotation of the hose segment it sits on.
Think of it like cable clamps or spacer rings distributed evenly along a hydraulic line or wiring harness.

Does LDCad have any built-in feature that allows this, or is it achievable through a Lua script?

Any pointers — tools, scripts, workflows, or even manual tricks — would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
