The old LDCalc 0.1.0.5 was istalled in my program(x86)-folder.

If I copy the files from LDCalc.zip (0.1.0.6) into the same folder, I get an error message when I start LDCalc.
"Could not read from LDCalcIni.xml"

If I place the files from 0.1.0.6 in a new folder, I get the same error message when I start LDCalc.

How do I make a correct uninstall/install?

Hm. If I remember right, this message is showing every time you start the programm the first time, as the configuration file LDCalcIni.xml is not found. Once you have choosen "Save" on the options tab this message should not arise anymore.
At the time I wrote that application I wasn't very familar with good messages Smile

Your memory is correct.
I once again copied the files to my LdCalc folder in Programs(x86) and started the program, ignoring the error message.
I then chose options-tab and hit Save. The error message is now gone, when I start the program. Good.
Thanks.

Thanks for reporting your experience.
I think I should change that message for the next release Smile
OTOH I am not sure that this program is used these days, where we have the wonderful tools from Philo.

I've found that the Line Intersection behaves strangely.

If I delete a value in any of the blocks, or if I enter a minus, I get an error message.
Code:
Error in btCalculate_click in form1.vb

Det går inte att konvertera strängen  till typen Double.
("Not possible to convert string to type Double" (my translation))

Hopefully better now Smile

Please let me know if there is any other fault.

Edit: just changed the attachment. This should be the final version if no bugs in this.

Hej Mike,
I'm so sorry but I have to report one issue with the new 0110.
If I enter a . or , in one of the fields in the converter, I get a similar error message as Magnus got for the intersections in the old version. Just the .vb module differs for each field ;-)

Thanks Mike, that was fast! Seems to work now.
Maybe I need a special version, that calculates 5 or 6 decimal places ;-) (Just an idea, if you feel, that you have to much free time)

Ok, I did not need much time for that feature to add.
I hope up to 8 decimals are enough for now ?

You can now download the new version 0.1.2.0 Wink

I just get noted that there are problems with the version 0.1.2.0 under some circumstances.
Here the message that I got:
Magnus Wrote:"If I type a comma, or a point, in any of the entry fields in the Line
Intersection, it stops computing. The result isn't updated and the lines in
the visual view stays the same, untill I remove the comma."

I have already worked out a solution and are currently waiting for (hopefully positive) feedback.

Thanks, it works fine.
Just one thing: Could you move the LDU box in the converter tab to the first place and Inch to the last place in row? So the order was consistent everywhere:
LEGO - metrical - imperial (units)

Hi Mike,

I often see questions like:
- How big in millimeter is a model that is 15x16 stud long?
or:
- How tall in millimeter is a model that is 22 bricks high?

I think it would be great if LDCalc could answer those questions.
I know of four units that could be used; brick long, brick high, plate, stud
( 1 stud = 1 brick long, 1 brick high = 3 plate)

Like this ?

Just rename it and let me know it works like you expected. Then I should release this as next version. The bad message is still in this build - sorry.

Well done!
It seems to be based on converter.
For the friends of the imperial system it would also be nice to get the results in inches, I think.

Do you think there are people that still use the imperial inch? Wink
Ok, I'll add that too in the same way and release it after that.
Thanks for your testing.

It works fine.
Though I had expected that all unit conversion would be made on the same tab.

Why do the two converters behave differently?
I can enter a value in any of the blocks in the Brick/Stud converter, and the other blocks are updated.

In the Unit Converter it is only possible to enter a value in the first column of blocks, to get a conversion.
If I enter a value in the second or third column, no conversion is made.

But having a converter is better than not having one. I would still use it, anyway. It works fine.

Not by intend, but you are right. If I make the unit converter page working like the new tab, I can put both together on one tab Smile

Will be done after fixing the reported bug.
