What I was really trying to say is that while you might get something in LDView when you load an MPD as a sub-file, it's more by accident than anything else, and therefore what you get isn't necessarily what you expect. In other words, LDView doesn't officially support nested MPD files, so however it behaves should definitely not be taken as an indication that that's how I think nested MPD files should work.
