The statement at the top of each of the LGEO inc files says:
"It is provided for private non-commercial use only."

I'm curious to understand this limitation, as the majority of the LDraw parts are released under the Creative Commons Attribution Licence 2.0 which allows commercial use.

Is Lutz Uhlmann still the primary maintainer of this library? What are the options for requesting a less restrictive license?

BTW: I noticed that the main reference on the LDraw website to the LGEO library is currently a dead link:
http://www.digitalbricks.org/lgeo.html

How do the parts created by Darats relate to the original LGEO library? Could these potentially be re-released under a different license?

I'm also curious to know why I keep spelling licence differently every other sentence Smile

Hi,

My parts belongs to the LGEO library because they have been made to be used the exact same way. I have only copy/paste original headers.
I actually don't care about licensing because as soon as it is made available for free, people will use it for any purpose whaterver the licensing...

I am open to change the headers to fit ldraw license, that sound more logical to me.

My ultimate goal, would be to replace 100% of original LGEO parts, to get rid of this multi boolean operation levels (which should speed up rendering times) and to be able to have round edges anywhere on the parts.

But, I want to insist that my LGEO parts are still WIP and because of lack of time due to paternity, I don't know when I will be able to make it fully compatible with Owen's ones and integrable in the AIOI.
