I'm perfectly OK with texmap only, especially for stickers. Other opinions?

It's much easier, and the resolution is potentially better (despite it being a raster). But the common wisdom has always been that LDraw geometry is preferred except where impractical (I think because of varying support among different viewers/editors).

Better still, though, would be improvements to the LDraw format and/or editors to a) increase the precision and resolution of LDraw vector geometry, and b) streamline the conversion process from graphical formats to LDraw format.
