This is more or less what you need to do for the torso (flat pattern) but the head is significantly more tricky since it's 3D... I'll try to do it!

Thank you very much. I followed your tutorial and it worked 100%. I will try doing the pattern on Inkscape first and then use it as a background on the LDPatternEditor, since the images I got were low-res and I had to change the perspective on Gimp.
And nice job on the head.
