Question about subparts (3626bs01, 3626cs01)

Question about subparts (3626bs01, 3626cs01)
#1
Hello,

I noticed that for the printed Minifig Head with Hollow Stud, there is a subpart that contains the stud and the back of the head (3626cs01).
For the printed Minifig Head with Blocked Hollow Stud there is also this subpart (3626bs01), but here it is marked as obsolete.
What is the reason for this here?
Can't this subpart be replaced by a modified version of subpart 3626cs01?

Greetings

It cannot be replaced due to backward compatibility reasons, and because it is part of a number of heads, that admittedly also is obsoleted.

Hello,

From my point of view, it would be an improvement. The 3626bs01 and 3626cs01 versions also differ visually, I think 3626cs01 looks better (smoother).
If the dimensions are identical and the line types, I think 2 and 5, are also the same, there should be no difficulties here and could be replaced by the new version. Or where am I making a mistake? Confused
Otherwise, a new version, for example 3626bs06, would have to be created. But then the question remains whether it makes sense. The saving would be one line of code.

The content in 3626bs01 can't be changed or edited, due to backward compatibility reasons.
There is nothing stopping us from creating a new subfile emulating something similar.

But I wonder why?
The content is easy to make using just 2 other subfiles.
Code:
1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 s\3626bs02.dat
1 16 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 1 s\3626bs04.dat

Hello,

The necessity of this measure can be discussed.
The question now is why was 3626cs01 created?
If I wanted to create a Minfig Head with only a printed front face, then I would take an existing file as a basis and make my changes.
Currently however, I do not have enough experience to do this.
From my point of view, a subpart that combines the two subfiles 3626bs02 and 3626bs04 is not necessary.
I just wasn't aware of the reason. It was probably done that way in the past and would not be done that way today.
