Datsville uses the attached part files. Do they exist in the parts tracker yet? I want to use the official parts numbers instead.

Attached Files
.dat   dx901.dat (Size: 18.63 KB / Downloads: 0)
.dat   dx900.dat (Size: 32.79 KB / Downloads: 0)

Yes they do. Please see: http://www.ldraw.org/cgi-bin/ptdetail.cg...480c01.dat for the shortcut (and browse around for getting the subfiles).

That web page says the parts are unofficial. I can't count on users having the unofficial parts installed as well. For instance, I myself do not have the unofficial parts.

I would substitude the old version with the current version on the PT.
By this you have the new names and the new (updated shape) of that parts in datsville. Be sure to import that files into one of datsvilles mpd files and all is fine also for those that do not have the unofficial files installed.

And don't forget to rename them with unique Datsville part names, or else it may cause a lot of detective work since unofficial parts in the Tracker may change namnes as well as orientation. When a part becomes official, then you can change the reference, check if it fits, and finally remove the temporary, unofiicial "Datsville part".
