You don't have to search in a category. There's a top level category called "Search" which searches the whole library.
It also accepts part numbers. |

Looks good.
A couple of things to consider:
* You don't seem to be using the icofn variable.
* You might consider using a png icon in /usr/share/pixmaps to be a bit more "correct".
