Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Alfred Schmitz - 2026-03-16 Hi everyone! Is there any chance that part 16208 (the roof in the Mini Cooper set 10242) could be released in a folded version? I’d be thrilled if that happened! https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=16280&idColor=1#T=C&C=1

Best regards Alfred RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Magnus Forsberg - 2026-03-16 (2026-03-16, 10:14)Alfred Schmitz Wrote: Hi everyone! Roof? Isn't that a pick-nick blankett? Folding it would create a bunch of useless, unseen layers. No good. So how do we do it? A thicker box with lots of edge lines on the sides? Random red pepita pattern on the sides? (I used a translater, because of my bad English) . I think a thicker box with lots of edge lines on the sides would be the best solution! Best regards! RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Jeff Jones - 2026-03-16 i think this can be easily replicated in blender using cloth rigging RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Chris Böhnke - 2026-03-16 (2026-03-16, 17:21)Magnus Forsberg Wrote: Roof? Isn't that a pick-nick blankett? Probably a good idea, the folded minifig capes and skirts are the same I think. Maybe the sides can be left monochrome. Depends on the end result I guess. RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Magnus Forsberg - 2026-03-17 What's the flat size of this blanket, in mm? BL only say 12.5x12.5 studs, and if I fold that I get 3x6 modules. Like a 3x6 tile. When converted, that matches your measurements! RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - N. W. Maybe similar to the way they do fake "folded" towels in the shops: RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Magnus Forsberg - 2026-03-17 All now on the PT https://library.ldraw.org/parts/list?tableSearch=16280

Thank you very much! Alfred RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - N. W. Perry - 2026-03-18 I wonder if the folded edges ought to be rounded? Or at least, use condlines where the fabric folds over itself, and edge lines only between layers? RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Magnus Forsberg - 2026-03-18 The files are now updated and the white colour removed.

Something’s not quite right with the colour scheme now. When I switch to red, the check pattern is red and grey; when I switch to white, it’s white and grey (see pictures) There’s something wrong with the corners too.

The 20004 is the "fabric" version of 4-red, the part itself should be colored in 20015 - fabric white (not the normal "plastic" 15 white) would a part color code keyword help? (with cmdline) Code: 0 !CMDLINE 20015RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Magnus Forsberg - 2026-03-19 (2026-03-19, 6:28)Alfred Schmitz Wrote: Something’s not quite right with the colour scheme now. Do you have the latest version of ldconfig.ldr installed? The one with the textile colours. What software are you using to build/view the part? Some SW may be unable to use the textile colour codes. The one with the textile colours. Yes, I have the latest ldconfig.ldr installed. Since I’m not very familiar with LDCad (but I’m learning!), I mostly still use MLCAD. That’s where the color problem with color numbers > 511 occurs!!! But I think I can figure out a solution for that. Edit: Found a solution using available free color numbers < 511! :-) RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Orion Pobursky - 2026-03-20 Are you using MLCad 3.51? It fixed the colors >511 bug. https://www.lm-software.com/mlcad/MLCad_V3.51.zip RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Alfred Schmitz - 2026-03-20 (2026-03-20, 12:02)Orion Pobursky Wrote: Are you using MLCad 3.51? It fixed the colors >511 bug. I have installed MLCad 3.51 and the latest ldconfig.ldr. Colours above 511 still do not work, except in LDview. The same issue occurs in MLCad 3.52! RE: Part request Part 16280 (folded) - Orion Pobursky - 2026-03-20 Re-download the latest complete.zip. There was an issue with this last update with some files being empty and LDConfig was affected. The problem is fixed now but you may have downloaded before I uploaded the fix.
