LEGO Parts Guide - Only 64 of the 2000 Most Common Parts are still missing from LDraw - tom alphin - 2025-12-30
As many LDraw part designers know, I am working on both an online LEGO Parts Guide, as well as an upcoming print edition of the guide.
This thread serves two purposes...
1. To thank the LDraw community for making great progress in creating 3d models for the vast majority of common LEGO parts. I have seen a huge increase in the number of common parts included within LDraw in the past couple years!
2. To provide a short list of the most common parts which remain missing from LDraw, and will therefore also be missing from the printed version of my guide. I would love to see one more push to get the most important parts added to LDraw so I can offer a more complete collection of parts for my readers.

Most Common Current LEGO Parts missing from LDraw...
To make this list more useful, I have already taken the effort of checking rebrickable to see if an alternate ID is used for LDraw, and checked to see if it is in LDD or Unity. I put DUPLO parts on a second list, because I do not need them for the print edition of my guide.
This is based on a list of the 2000 most common current parts, where current is defined as parts included in sets released from 2021-2025.
Missing LEGO Parts (high priority):
- #1323 - Part 18855 - Equipment Baby Bottle with Handle - Common minifig/minidoll accessory. 🟢 .dat available!
- #1331 - Part 5532 - Brick Round Corner 5 x 5 Macaroni with 1/3 Inner Side - New Curved element. 🟡 not on list
- #1336 - Part 18792 - Weapon Bow and Arrow, Blocky - Minecraft-specific, but very common in that theme. 🟢 .dat available!
- #1436 - Part 80487 - Spider Web, Dome Shaped with Bar. - Increasingly common. 🟡 not on list
- #1439 - Part 86148 - Wedge Sloped 4 x 4 Triple with 3 Ridges - Common. 🟡 not on list
- #1495 - Part 36934 - Bicycle Frame - Current bike frame needs to be in LDraw. 🟡 not on list
- #1517 - Part 35032c - Wave / Power Burst / Flame, Bolt Small with Bar Ends - The rest of power bursts are in LDraw now... 🟡 not on list
- #1582 - Part 35633 - Weapon Sword, 3 Bar Holes and Axle Hilt - useful due to diverse connectors. 🟢 .dat available!
- #1593 - Part 65184 - Weapon Sword, Blade with Bar, Single Edge - useful shape. 🟢 .dat available!
- #1659 - Part 4986 - Large Figure Cover 4 x 5 x 2 with Bar, 4 Studs, Ridged - Specialized but common. 🟡 not on list
- #1719 - Part 36273 - Vehicle Body, Scooter Base - High interest in minifig parts. 🔴 On list, but no .dat
- #1745 - Part 5057 - Brick Round 3 x 3 D. Tube with 45° Elbow and Axle Holes (Crossholes) at Each End - very versatile. 🟡 not on list
- #1753 - Part 5274 - Windscreen 6 x 8 Curved - Several colors, general utility. 🟡 not on list
- #1757 - Part 1974 - Dome Hemisphere 7 x 7 with 2 Pin Holes - general utility, 4 colors 🟡 not on list
- #1772 - Part 75522 - Fairing, Motorcycle, Dirt Bike with 1 x 2 Studs 🟡 not on list
- #1793 - Part 37823 - Hair Short Tousled with Side Part 🟢 .dat available!
- #1798 - Part 6955 - Cable, Curved Flexible with Bars on Each End - New for 2025 but super popular. 🟡 not on list
Missing LEGO Parts (lower priority):
- #1194 - Part 78169 - Tile Remover Key Diamond - Lower priority since it isn't a core building part. 🟡 not on list
- #1338 - Part 70682 - Vehicle Body, Motorcycle / Quadricycle Frame. - Lower priority since only used in 6+ or younger sets. 🔴 On list, but no .dat
- #1694 - Part 80017 - Creature Body Part, Dragon Head Lower Jaw with Pointy Chin - Very specialized but still desirable. 🟡 not on list
- #1748 - Part 69871 - Tile Remover Key, Heart - specialized part, retired in 2023. 🟡 not on list
- #1773 - Part 78611 - Rubber Raft / Dinghy 6 x 12 - fairly common, but not of general utility. 🟡 not on list
- #1792 - Part 24184 - Minidoll Life Jacket - 🟢 .dat available!
Missing DUPLO Parts (lowest priority):
- #1611 - Part 35088 - Playground Slide Curved Right 90° 🟡 not on list
- #1741 - Part 72134 - Duplo Brick Special 2 x 2 x 2, Star 🔴 On list, but no .dat
- #1777 - Part 16598 - Duplo Door / Window, Castle 🟢 .dat available!
(I will update this throughout the evening as I review additional parts for inclusion.)

It's good to see a number of parts that have .dat files already available. I believe these are pretty quick to convert into LDraw format.
