Find all subfiles for a part - Peter Blomberg - 2025-11-09

I've come across parts where the main file has been certified by two or more reviewers, but one of the subfiles has not. Sometimes the subfile tree is 5 levels deep and it's easy to miss an offshoot or a subfile that isn't referenced by the main file.

Does the parts tracker have a convenient feature where I can see how many subfiles a particular part has in its subfile tree or is the only way to click through the subfile dependencies?

There is an automatic hold for parts not having certified subparts, but is that info useful before an admin has made the admin review or a subpart has been graduated?

I didnt find the subfile count, but the red "not releasable" paper symbol is a good indicator for "one subfile is missing certs" (thats why its there)
this is hereditary, so you can find uncertified subparts some levels nested below. (doesnt matter if not enough certs or hold, just not everything double certified)

The "Download zip file" option will give you a package of all dependencies, so you can see them all in your file browser. Though it would be pretty slick if you could see a tree view of the part right from the tracker. (LDView has this capability, for example.)
