uhhhhhh - Jeff Jones - 2025-01-23 i am working on the patrick legs i have the pattern geometry done only the hips are on the tracker as of today. how do i project the legs pattern to the legs mesh heres a mockup made in ldcad mockup.png (Size: 5.68 KB / Downloads: 63) and heres the pattern itself rh.dat (Size: 14.89 KB / Downloads: 1) bye RE: uhhhhhh - Philippe Hurbain - 2025-01-23 Using more descriptive posts subjects would probably help to get more answers... This kind of pattern is generally done using LDPattern creator, but it can also be done using Blender and some Blender to Ldraw exporter. RE: uhhhhhh - Jeff Jones - 2025-01-23 tried merge to nearest face it works but it looks like i need to rework the pattern geometry eyuwk.png (Size: 4.43 KB / Downloads: 48) RE: uhhhhhh - Chris Böhnke - 2025-01-23 Using LDPC: 1) Download the base part (or the respective sub-file you would need). Be careful for legs, don't use the obsolete versions! 2) Load the file in LDPE 3) Mark all surfaces with pattern in a single color (best is something 1-9) 4) Sort by lines by color 5) Delete everything after your chosen color -> save 6) Load your file as template in LDPC (File -> Import from .dat -> Project on XY-plane (front) -> Overwrite and import projection data 7) (optional) load your reference image file 8) Make your pattern -> Export as .dat RE: uhhhhhh - Jeff Jones - 2025-01-23 used the knife tool in blender looks ok but not ready to be on the pt Annotation 2025-01-23 234118.png (Size: 6.12 KB / Downloads: 20) |
