Sesame Street (21324) Minifigs - Fredrik Hareide - 2024-03-16

I will use this thread for posts about my work on the Sesame Street minifigs.

First of all. Does anyone own the set? And are you willing to take some photos of the inside of the heads so I can examine the molding?

I'm pretty sure I have the set but I'll have to figure out where I stashed it.

I have the set but I haven't yet opened it. My current residence doesn't really have any good space for real-life LEGO building…  Cry

isnt the head of Oscar just a print of the already official 20953.dat?
https://library.ldraw.org/official/1728

is the face print 2 or 4 1/8 segments wide?

is elmo the only dual-mould head?

Thanks, Steffen!

RE: Sesame Street (21324) Minifigs - Steffen - 2024-03-25

- yes, Oscar head to me seems to be a patterned version of 20953.dat
- Elmo clearly is double-injection mould (it has an inner white)
- cookie monster outside looks also double-injection mould, but also could be painted
- all others I cannot tell whether double-injection or painted
- all heads are made from ABS except bigbird which is made of yellow RUBBER
- pattern size needs to be taken from scans or other 3D data sources, it makes no sense to specify their measurements here
- all legs are the child LEGO minifig legs (37364.dat) EXCEPT bigbird who has "normal" minifig legs (patterned)
- all legs can be moved separately EXCEPT Elmo (edit: AND ERNIE) who have FIXED legs (41879a.dat)

Ernie's legs appear to be fixed as well.

And I really miss Bert's saddle shoes, as can be seen when he's Doin' the (coo, coo) Pigeon.

YES you are right.
ERNIE's legs can NOT be moved. Legs and hips are a single piece.
