Modeling of stud cut-outs - Gerald Lasser - 2024-02-07 since quite some time, the stud cut outs are not really squarish, respectibly rectagular anymore, but more or less rounded. This is also reflected in the raw parts data, see the dune-windscreen 5142: What's the best way to model them? What we want to achieve? - Rounded Corners (realism) - Trapezoid Cutout (simple, but looking clode to the real thing) - Rectangular (not reflecting the real part) Opinions? Thansk RE: Modeling of stud cut-outs - Willy Tschager - 2024-02-08 If the rounding is pronounced we should go for realism. w. RE: Modeling of stud cut-outs - Philippe Hurbain - 2024-02-08 I vote for a 45° bevel (with condlines) shape on the teeth tips only. Simple and efficient, but suggest the shape well. |
