I wish to add:
59443 - Technic Axle Joiner Inline Smooth
to the list as it seems to have replaced 6538 (and variants) in all recent technic sets.

I just wanted to draw attention to it so that Chris would give his official OK and we could get it in the next release. I would rather not need to inline it in OMR compliant models since it is such a common piece today. Nevermind, I didn't see the admin approval vote already when I initially posted. My bad.
