Found nothing... any set not in collectible minifig series containing this part?

AFAIK it only appeared with two collectible minifigs, once patterned and once without pattern so indeed no chance to have it in instructions app... Thanks for checking anyway.

This turned out to be a irregular 5-sided cylinder. Maybe not what you wanted?
